Legacy

Jeff Glor of CBS News has, I think, a great job. The Saturday Morning CBS show provides some current news but leans more towards a magazine style information show. On this morning Jeff traveled to Hawaii to interview a man who is a chef for a discussion about Hawaiian cuisine.

Jeff asked him at the end of the piece, “What do you want your legacy to be?” He replied, “For my wife to think, I was a good husband. For my children to think, he was a good dad. And for my community to think, ‘Mark did not waste space.'”

A humble legacy to be sure. Inspirational to me. A beautiful life philosophy, I think.
